The miso soup and crab dumplings were superb, but the Bruce roll fell a bit short of the flavor I was hoping for. It presents super well, and the staff was friendly. Happy to go back and try another roll option!

I decided to stop by for a quick lunch and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. My waitress was Yvonne who was super sweet and helpful in deciding what to order. The other waitress/waiter was also super attentive and caring as well. The prices were reasonable, food was super filling and delicious. I truly recommend this place if ur in the area! Definitely would revisit and bring my loved ones next time.

This was my second time at Akira Izakaya in Gambrills, and it’s quickly becoming a go-to. The ambiance is cozy and modern, with a relaxed vibe that works for solo meals or casual catch-ups. Seating is comfortable and spaced out enough that it doesn’t feel cramped, even during dinner hours. The Akira Ramen had that rich, creamy broth that just hugs your taste buds—especially when you mix in the chili oil they kindly served on the side. California rolls were fresh, clean, and well-prepared. Prices are very reasonable for the quality—my meal felt like a treat without breaking the bank. Service was outstanding both times I've visited: friendly, fast, and thoughtful. You can tell they care about quality across the board. Already thinking about visiting their Hyattsville location to see if it’s just as good!

It's a pretty good ramen place even if it's sort of a chain. I've never had a bad experience. Service is usually fast and the food comes out good every time. If you have a craving for ramen easy place to stop and get some delicious ramen. Decent appetizers too. I prefer the pork buns when I'm really hungry but they also have sushi rolls as well and other things like gyoza, edamame etc.

Took my kids here after Skyzone. Our ramen was delicious- we got the Akira and the Volcano. We also loved the shrimp shumai, the Kaarage chicken, and the Hokkaido Cheesecake. We tried the chasu bao and the crystal shrimp dumplings which were good too. The service was quick. It’s a small, family friendly place. Pretty busy, and the sushi going out looked awesome. Only offers tea and sodas to drink. We aren’t often in Crofton but might have to make a return trip just for Akira.

Absolutely delicious. I took a bite of the food and couldn’t stop eating hence the reason for no great photos. Had the Gyoza which was delectable and the Akira Volcano (Spicy) Ramen w/Pork which was fantastic. As a big foodie, I’m not easily impressed so I really do mean it when I say this food was delicious. The broth was absolutely flavorful and hit on the umami. I look forward to coming back to this quaint and cozy restaurant that offers great food and equally great service. For those into anime, the entire time I was eating this, I was thinking that this must’ve been how excited Naruto felt eating Ramen.
